Well folks, we had another "goose job' this past weekend. If you are unfamiliar with this topic, please refer to this previous post:

Here's what we do: My dad has a trapping business. He is one of only a few trappers who are licensed by the Oklahoma Wildlife Department to transport geese. Geese poop a lot, so people like to get them off their property. It's mostly businesses, schools, or neighborhood associations that hire him.Our family herds geese into a makeshift corral, we then catch them one by one and carry them to the trailer, they are then relocated to land somewhere in Oklahoma. The relocation site changes all the time; the wildlife department designates each site.
We have been trapping at RSU in Claremore for three years now. We basically have it down to a fine art. It seems that our group is getting larger and larger each year. I think that is because no one believes that we really do this and they have to see it to believe it.
This year, we only had 14 geese. And it only took us about 20 minutes. We spent more time eating our celebratory dinner than we did actually working!
Hannah the herder
Gotta act fast!
Lots of hands on deck made for one fast day.
Kevin uses his kayak to move them off the water.
Hannah & Anna using their "streamer poles" to make themselves look bigger.
Avery can help by picking up feathers. You would never even know we were there!
Harper had a view of the action on Gramma Julie's lap.
Jordan recycling feathers.
Ashleigh and her roommate Lydia, who is deathly afraid of geese. She held a goose; what an accomplishment! However, she said this experience did nothing to help her get over her fear.
The whole gang:
Taylor, Anna, My Dad & Mom, My brother Joey, Jordan, My brother Chris, Lydia, Kevin's Dad, Me, Ashleigh, Avery, Kevin's Mom, Little Harper, Hannah, Rylee, Kevin
