DNA

This is my daughter.

I am pretty sure she takes after her father....

I am almost certain that she does....

I am positive!

Garage Sale Season

We went garage sale-ing this weekend and little Miss Harper scored a Buzz Lightyear tent.

We put her toys in the middle and then she goes in to save them.

She always has to build up a little courage before heading in.

But once she's in, don't bother her!

Welcome Spring!

Harper is enjoying this weather we are having. She is enjoying it so much that she stands at the front door and throws a fit to go outside...but nevermind that.

Please notice the orange in her hands. She insisted on eating through the peel; eventually she let me peel it for her.

Love those eyes

She loves her lawn chair.

She took off towards the street and I said "See ya later, Harper". She actually waved and said 'Bye'. She's a tricky little thing!

Dinner time

You know I love a good high chair picture!

Harper ate off of a plate for the first time this week. She didn't throw it or anything!

Can you tell her pasta had chopped olives in it? They were everywhere

He's a man!

Our awesome nephew Jordan is turning 18 this week.

Listen here nieces and nephews: Stop growing, I say!

We had his birthday lunch this past weekend. Bacon Cheese burgers...what else?

Isn't he handsome? I think so. And I am afraid that the girls at school think so too.

Look at those big kids. They really aren't kids anymore. They bring dates to our family parties now...yikes!

Hannah & her boyfriend Seth, Taylor, Ashleigh & her boyfriend Ryan, and the birthday boy, Jordan

Joey's crazy face

Harper's crazy face

They are just like two peas....

Those kids may have grown up, but they sure don't act like it.

Hannah did this.....

So Taylor did this.....

Seems pretty fair to me.

Harper really likes to scare people. The louder you scream, the happier she is.

A happy early birthday to Jordan, one of the most genuinely nice people I know.

When it comes to character, this kids got it!

And not to mention, he is ridiculously funny.

Sure enough, we love him!

Being Brave

Our friends just had three baby goats and they asked us if I'd like for Harper to have her picture taken with them.

I thought is was a good idea.......

Well, that's how the photo session started, but it quickly improved.

She had Uncle Joey by her side in case those goats tried anything.  At this time, she hated the goats....

Her curiousity is growing....

She could handle the cows. From a distance.

I call this the 'dust bowl shot'.... it was WIND-y!!!

She eventually began to tolerate the goats, and would at least sit near them.

This would be when Joey played music on his phone and Harper started to get her groove on.

Those are some good tunes!

She's just got to move!

There's the music!

I think she wanted to protect herself from those crazy goats. A stick will do the trick!

I love those little curls.

Okay, to repeat, we have gone from hate, to curious, to tolerant, and now I do believe we can officially say "Harper LIKES goats". Now don't get crazy and say that she loves goats; we'll stick with "like" for now.

So cool and calm

They ran her off her chair! Where's that stick when ya need it?!

Oh! How she loves Marvin!

Like a smothering type of love

But who wouldn't love that mohawked little cutie!?!
 Chickens!

I think they are having an intense conversation. Giving each other the 'what for'.

Love, love, love it!

Harper loves her daddy.

And that's all there is to that!

Postage

Harper sorts the mail while I unload the car.

So helpful.

March 8th

Harper's birthday was almost a week ago and we have almost recovered from a week long celebration at our house. Her actual birthDAY was pretty simple, just the way we like it around here.

She got to eat and play whetever she wanted. "No" was not in our vocabulary that day.

We started off the day with her daily egg and a special pancake....

She got to open her presents from mama and daddy, (and sit in one of her new carseats, which was her big gift). Her face in the first two photos is my favorite...

Please excuse her sweaty hair, she had just woken up from a nap on her daddy's chest and she sweats like crazy when she sleeps.

Her first Cabbage Patch doll. If you are a girl, you will know what this next part means...they still smell the same.

This kid loves babies! She hugs and kisses them and always says "hi" when she sees them. Kevin wasn't too happy about this at first, but she is just so cute with them that he softened up.

And she loved her tunnel! Now that she has discovered that mama can fit inside it too, she loves it even more. My back, however, isn't too excited about it.

She was a sweet birthday girl and it was a fun day for all of us. However, she doesn't need to rush to her next one. We can patiently wait for 2 to roll around...no hurry little one!
