Anywhere Chair

I finally bought Harper the chair I have been wanting to get her. She LOVES it! And I love that my friend Sara used her Pottery Barn discount and saved us boo-koos! (Thanks girl!)

Harper likes to kick back and relax.

But every once in a while she kicks too hard and falls out ;)

"Elmo! Did you do that!?"

A day in the life

Would you like to know what Harper does all day? She never stops moving... or talking....or eating... or, well you get it.

She has a favorite book. It's an animal book with a few big fold out pages. She can point to the goat, sheep, chickens, cow, dog, bird, bear, giraffe, and sometimes zebra. She can say dog, chick-chick, goat, and bear. And she can make noises for the dog and cow.

She loves the dog fold out page. She kisses it all the time.

Pointing to the goat

Well, I guess sometimes she stops moving. But not for long.

She can find her belly button if you ask her to.

And poke it while saying "boop"

Really. She doesn't mind showing you. You want to see it again?

She must make lots of "woof" noises during meals.

And she always has a smile for ya!

Woodward Park

Harper and I had a little picnic at the park the other day. Then we went exploring....

Then she ran away...

Rub a dub dub

As I've said before, "Harper is a mess". Literally.

That is why the bath has become one of our most important parts of the day.

Here, you can see she has discovered her belly button....

I just love how long her hair is getting....

This is Harper making her "liter liter, liter" sound. That is the only way that I can describe the sound. She makes that noise all the time.

And this is her "dog face". She howls instead of barks when asked what noise a dog makes.....
Bath time is a blast!

Easter Extravaganza

We had a wonderfully busy Easter weekend.

We started the weekend with Kevin running in the "Climb for Air", a run in which he and fellow fire fighters ran the stairs of the Williams tower in Tulsa....50 Floors!!!

I have photos on my phone. But at this moment, I do not have the energy required to figure out how to get them from there to here. But stay tuned!

Pictures or not, Kevin was amazing! He climbed 50 floors. In 16 minutes. Without training. With 80 pounds of gear. Including an oxygen tank. While CARRYING a lady for 7 of those floors.

{A-MA-ZING}

After that, it was off to Nana & Papa's for our family Easter celebration. It was eventful. What was supposed to be an outdoor fire pit/ egg hunt day, turned into a pouring rain/power went out/hunt eggs in rain gear kind of day.

But we're troopers, and we had fun anyway!

Here is Harper hunting for her eggs on the front porch:

Even the adults went egg hunting...for money eggs!

And then leave it to our family to have a contest on a Holy holiday.

This year...Easter Bonnets:

Oh my....

The master of ceremonies:

All hats had to be made without hot glue...power outage, remember?

Lots of yarn, wire, tape, chaos

Then, on Easter Sunday, little Harper had a one-year-olds version of 'hunting' for her Easter basket.

She followed a trail of goldfish and Easter eggs down the hall toward her basket.

(Notice the PJs in honor of Daddy's climb)

The moment she noticed the basket:

She knows that something should be inside eggs. She immediately opens each one and eats what is inside (animal crackers or goldfish) before moving on.

Holding her baby bunny. So sweet

Then after church, we had another go at egg hunting

Nana & Papa thought they could pose for a photo alone:

Harper thought otherwise:

How dare you take a picture without me and my thumb?!?

Okay, I want you to notice the following two pictures:

First, she notices the dirt on her hands.

Next, she wipes it on her dress:
So resourceful!

Picking ROCKS to put in the Easter basket:

See the rocks?

Happy Easter!

Beyond the eggs, and the dresses, the family, and the food, Easter is about our Lord. He sacrificed more than our minds can comprehend and showed us love that we will never earn. His grace covers our unending weakness. Accepting Him and serving Him is an honor we do not deserve.

And His miracles, like that little one up there ^.... are amazing.
