Zoo Tour

 One tradition that Kevin & I definitely continued after having children is the Zoo Tour. Before Harper was born, if we visited a city, we went to the zoo there. Luckily it is a tradition that is easy to continue with kids.

{Who are we kidding, visiting zoos is about the only thing that we do}

So in the spirit of the Zoo Tour, we visited the Fort Worth Zoo this month. We normally would have gone to the Dallas zoo, but we are so glad we switched it up this trip. This was an amazing zoo!

Harper and this bear had a special moment

It's getting harder and harder to hold this 34 pound girl of mine. But for some reason, Harper doesn't seem to notice.

I love this guy!

I also love that he is willing to wipe bird poo off of our daughter. This is a huge sacrifice for him. I am pretty sure he hates birds even more than he hates.....well, poo.

"Hey, my hand fits just perfect right here."

"Nice to meet you Mr. Kangaroo"

Checking her wingspan

We give the Fort Worth Zoo our seal of approval!

And we KNOW zoos.

Easter in June

So I'm just going to pretend that it hasn't been months since I have blogged. I am also going to pretend that it isn't ridiculous to be posting Easter pictures at the end of June.

I'm just going to carry on like nothing ever happened......

Here's the little cheese-ball in her Easter dress.

Easter Morning
{which was actually celebrated a day early due to Kevin's fire schedule}

Continuing the tradition we started last year, As soon as Harper woke up, she followed a trail of eggs to her basket.

See...just woke up....notice the hair.

She liked all her goodies, especially the edible ones.

You can see that her "smile" face was a little bit funky back in March.

Later on, she got to hunt eggs at Nana & Papa's house. Once again, she liked what was edible. She usually ate the treat out of the egg before placing the egg in her basket.

Her mouth is full =)

Harper says 'Happy Easter' by showing off her treats AND her belly

Catch Up Time

Here are a few things that have happened in the past month......

Valentine's Day - Harper ate heart shaped food, we filled the house with heart shaped balloons, and Harper ran around the house saying "Happy Birthday!"

Oh yeah, and she ate a ton of candy !

My parents celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary

The family got together to celebrate

{Kevin had a major mustache}

I have a "baby in my bewwy" according to Harper

Harper turned 2!

We opened presents, put candles in all of her food, played with her new toys, balloons, bubbles, and went to the aquarium.

Her party was the next day. Mickey Mouse themed of course.

Lots of fun presents to open

A new tricycle!

Her buddy Solomon helped open presents

Her aunt and uncle think that if they make awful faces, I won't be able to use their pictures. Hah! The joke's on them!

See, LOTS of presents!

Family & friends

She is certainly the funniest two-year-old that I know!

Coming soon

Just in case you didn't know...this is happening.

I am 12 weeks along with baby number 2. I know it's old news to most people, but I wanted to share these other cute shots of Harper's big announcement.
