We had a wonderfully busy Easter weekend.
We started the weekend with Kevin running in the "Climb for Air", a run in which he and fellow fire fighters ran the stairs of the Williams tower in Tulsa....50 Floors!!!
I have photos on my phone. But at this moment, I do not have the energy required to figure out how to get them from there to here. But stay tuned!
Pictures or not, Kevin was amazing! He climbed 50 floors. In 16 minutes. Without training. With 80 pounds of gear. Including an oxygen tank. While CARRYING a lady for 7 of those floors.

After that, it was off to Nana & Papa's for our family Easter celebration. It was eventful. What was supposed to be an outdoor fire pit/ egg hunt day, turned into a pouring rain/power went out/hunt eggs in rain gear kind of day.
But we're troopers, and we had fun anyway!

And then leave it to our family to have a contest on a Holy holiday.

All hats had to be made without hot glue...power outage, remember?
Lots of yarn, wire, tape, chaos.
Then, on Easter Sunday, little Harper had a one-year-olds version of 'hunting' for her Easter basket.
She followed a trail of goldfish and Easter eggs down the hall toward her basket.

The moment she noticed the basket:
She knows that something should be inside eggs. She immediately opens each one and eats what is inside (animal crackers or goldfish) before moving on.

Then after church, we had another go at egg hunting

Beyond the eggs, and the dresses, the family, and the food, Easter is about our Lord. He sacrificed more than our minds can comprehend and showed us love that we will never earn. His grace covers our unending weakness. Accepting Him and serving Him is an honor we do not deserve.
And His miracles, like that little one up there ^.... are amazing.
